THE CITY, REGULATING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON A
PORTION OF MADISON STREET, AND ENACTING A NEW PROVISION TO
BE KNOWN AS PARAGRAPH (90) OF SECTION 1.480 OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER 7344 relating TO THE SAME SUBJECT, PRESCRIGING A
PRESUMPTION AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
I� BE IT ORDAINEDBY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
i MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Paragraph (90) of Section 1.480 of Ordinance
Number 7344 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, restricting
parking for a period of two hours on the west side of Madison
Street between its intersections with Cedar Street and Ashley
Street be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
Section 2. There is hereby enacted a new provision to be
known as Paragraph (90) of Section 1.480 of Ordinance Number
7344, which shall read in words and figures as follows:

Section 1.480. Two Hour Parking. The operator of ,a
vehicle shall not park the same for a period of time in excess
of two hours, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7 :00 p.m. on
any day, except Sunday or a legal holiday, at any place within
the described limits of the following named roadways, or any
+� designated portion thereof:
i (90) On the east half of Madison Street between
Cedar Street and Ashley Street.
On the west half of Madison Street between
Cedar Street and the public alley extending
in an east-west direction and lying midway
between Dunklin Street and Ashley Street.
Section 3. In any prosecution for a violation of any
provision of Section 2 of this ordinance, proof that the vehicle
described in the complaint was parked in violation of the avove
mentioned section, together with proof that the dependant named
in the complaint was at the time of such parking the owner of the
vehicle shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption
that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicl
I at the point where, and for the time during which, such violation
occurred.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00 or be placed
in jail for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and
