AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF BOONVILLE ROAD FROM THE END OF THE EXISTING CURBING TO THE CITY LIMITS ON BOONVILLE ROAD IN THE CITY , OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY GRADING AND PAVING WHERE NECESSARY WITH ASPHALTIC CONCRETE AND CURBING AND GUTTERING WITH PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on April 14, 1966, necessary to grade and pave with asphaltic concrete, �iwhere necessary, and curb and gutter with Portland Cement concrete the roadway of Boonville Road from the end of the existing curb- ing to the City Limits on Boonville Road and it appears to the iCity Council that said resolution has been duly published accordinc. to the law for seven (7) consecutive insertions in the Post Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson, �IMissouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along said section of Boonville Road liable for the costs of said improv - �� ment, and who own a majority of the front feet on said Boonville IlRoad intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a 1protest against said contemplated improvement. SECTION 2. That the said roadway of Boonville Road from the end of the existing curbing to the City Limits on Boonville Road in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the I Director of Public Works and filed in the office of the City Clerk and that the cost of the work aforesaid, in an amount not to ex- ceed $3 .50 per front foot shall be charged and levied as a special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter, and in Section 827 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson Missouri 1956 and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1959, and (® amendments thereto, and the remaining cost, if any, of said work shall be paid for out of the General Revenue funds of the City. } { -z- I' I� II SECTION 3 .
