ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF TIM CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING
THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON ROADWAYS IN THE CITY, PRE-
SCRIBING A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator of
a motor vehicle shall not park the same :
(A) At any point on the north half of Dunklin Street

that is east, and within ninety five (95) Tof the
east curb , of Madison Street.
(B) At any point on the east half of Madison Street
that is north, and within fifty (50) feet of the
north curb, of Dunklin Street.
(C) At any point on the west half of Madison§treo-t
that is south, and within (7 ) feet
of the south curb, of Dunklin Street.
Section 2. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution for
a violation of any provision of Section 1 of this ordinance»
proof that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked
in violation of one of the provisions of Section 1 hereof,
together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint
was at the time of the parking the owner of the vehicle, shall
then constitute in evidence prima facie presumption that the
owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle at
the point where, and for the time during which, such violation
occurred.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed gu' Llty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more

than $100.00 or imprisoned not longer than 90 days, or be
punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
