IAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
ORDINANCE No. 7801 OF THE CITY, ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATI N
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE YEAR, 1966-1967, AN6
ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repeal Clause. Ordinance No. 7801 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
providing for the levy of city taxes and establishing the rate of taxation for the II
City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the year 1966-1967. ,
Section 2. There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all Real
Estate and Personal Property within the limits of the City of Jefferson, Mo. ,
not exempt from taxation by the Constitution or the laws of the State of Missouri'�
as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , for the year
1966-1967, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers statements, made as
provided by law:
FIRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of Jefferson,
Mo. , for the fiscal year, the sum of $ 0. 88 cents on the one hundred dollar
valuation.

SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding bonds of the
City of Jefferson, Mo. , and for the purpose of creating a sinking fund to retire
the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , the sum of $ 0. 45 cents
on the one hundred dollar valuation.
THIRD - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Free Public Libraryl
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $0. 40 cents on the one
hundred dollar valuation.
i FOURTH - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining Free Public Parks
'in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 20 cents on the one
'!hundred dollar valuation. '
' FIFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen's Retirement System for
Firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0.07 cents on the
one hundred dollar valuation.
i Section 3. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in the
I appropriate columns opposite each item of taxable property on the assessment
,i books as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , and corrected
�1by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid by each
person as provided by Section Two of this Ordinance.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after +
its passage and approval.
