AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY -OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE PARKING
OF MOTOR VEHICLES, PRESCRIBING A PRESUMPTION AND PROVIDING A'PENALTY.. '
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Sectional. Parking vehicles prohibited. The operator of a
vehicle shall not park the same at any point in the public alley'.

lying .between.and extending parallel with McCarty and N4rri a Streets,
between.its intersections with Jefferson Street and Adams .Stteet.
Section.2..' 'ptesum.Atiozi'to,appl rte. In any prosecution' f or a
violation of .Section l .of this ordinance, proof that the -vehicle
described in the complaint was parked in violation of'.Section 1,
together with-proof that the .defendant named in the complaint was.at
the time of the parking the owner of the vehicle, shall then consti-
tute.in.evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner .of'.the' '
. .vehicle was .the.person who parked .the.vehicle at .the point wheice,' and
for the time :during which, -such violation.occurred.
Section.3.".Penalty. Any -person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed .guilty.of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction.thereof shall .be. fined'.not more .than:.$100.00' or imprisoned
.not longer .than. 90 days, or be .punished by.both .such fine and impri-
sonment.
Section 4. EffoctiVO'ddpe. The ordinance shall take .effect
from and after its passage and approval.
