AN ORDINANCE OF .THE CITY. OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
OPERATION •OF.MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE.ROADWAYS OF THIS CITY AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section.l. Stop 'Sign. .The driver .of a vehicle on.State�.Street
shall bring the -Vehicle to a .full and complete stop 'immediately.before en=
.tering .the intersection of .State.Street with Monroe Street and .there-'
after proceed cautiously, yielding the' right of way to any .pedestrian
crossing a.roadway .at the said intersection within any marked'or.un-
marked' crosswalk, on to any.ve.hicle.riot .required to .stop, which is
either* in.the intersection or approaching so closely thereto as to
constitute an immediate hazard.
Section:2..' .Penalty. Any -person violating .the' provisions ;of
Section 1 .hereof shall .be:.deemed .guilty ,of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined not more.than.$100.00 or'.be' impri
soned not longer than 90 days or .be.punished' by both .such fine and
imprisonment.
Section.3." Effective 'DAte. This ordinance shall take' effect .
and -be in force from and after- its-passage and approval.
