ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF TIME CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR -AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH
MID-MISSOURI DISTRIBUTORS, INC. , A CORPORATION, RELATING TO THE
PROVISION AND -ERECTION OF A RIGID METAL BUILDING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF .THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed, for and in the name of the city, to
execute a written contract with Mid-Missouri Distributors, Inc. ,
a corporation, relating to the provision and erection of a rigid
frame metal building.
Section 2. Said contract shall read in words and figures as
follows:

C O N T R A C T
THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this dtf*day of
1966, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a third
class city existing under the laws of the State of Missouri,
located in Cole County, Missouri, hereinafter termed the "Owner",
and Mid-Missouri Distributors, Inc. , a corporation, 1410 Highway
70 West, Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, hereinafter termed
the 1111:1161� all "
WITNESSETH
1. Contractor hereby agrees to sell and provide to the
Owner a rigid frame steel building, including gutters and
downspouts, meeting the specifications entitled: "Specifications
for Rigid Frame Steel Buildings" attached hereto, marked as
Appendix "A", and expressly incorporated by reference herein as
fully as if- set out at length verbatim herein, and then provide
all labor required to erect same at such location as shall be
selected by the Owner upon a concrete foundation to be provided
by the Owner.
7 2. Owner shall pay Contractor the sum of $6,648.00 for all
materials and labor required to construct the rigid frame steel
building hereinabove mentioned. Said amount shall be paid to
Contractor upon completion of the work and acceptance of same
by the City's Building Commissioner.
3. Contractor shall complete the erection of the building
within jffe calendar days from the date of this contract.
4. Owner shall pay to Contractor an additional sum of
$66.48 as a contribution to a premium to be paid by Contractor
for a Performance Bond to guarantee the performance by Contracror
of this contract, and Contractor agrees to provide Owner with the
aforementioned performance bond.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR
RIGID FRAME
STEEL BUILDINGS
A. SCOPE OF WORK
These specifications cover the material for and the fabrication of steel
buildings so designed and constructed as to be weather-tight, easily erected
and capable of being dismantled and re-erected.
The materials furnished shall include the structural framing, roofing, siding,
anchor bolts, doors, windows, hardware, fasteners, caulk and any other com-
ponent parts for the metal building only, as specified, including the erection
of same if so stated in the proposal. All materials shall be new, unused and
free from defects and imperfections and fabricated in a workmanlike manner.
The building shall be the design of a manufacturer who is regularly engaged
in the fabrication of pre-engineered structures conforming in whole as speci-
fied hereafter to the Metal Building Manufacturers Association's "Code of
Standard Practices" .

B. DESCRIPTION
The building covered by these specifications is to be a single span, - gabled
rigid frame type structure of tapered columns and roof beams. The building
shall be 50 '-0" wide and two 24'-0" bays long. it shall be of sufficient
height to allow for the installation of 12 '-0" high overhead doors in the
sidewall, as shown on sketch.
The roof purlin system shall provide continuiry over the interior rigid frame
rafters. The wall girt system shall frame into and between the rigid frame
. and/or columns.
The roof slope shall be not less than one (1) unit nor more than two (2) units
rise (vertical) to twelve (12) units run (horizontal) .
