AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
WITH T &M ASSOCIATES
NOE STRE ET PARK SHADE STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of additional structure design services in
connection with Noe Street Park.Shade Structure; and
WHEREAS, T &M Associates, 1455 Broad Street, Suite 250, Bloomfield, New Jersey
07003, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, T &M Associates, has submitted aproposal to provide said services at a
total cost not to exceed $10,000.00 and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. # C- 04 -20- 104 -201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the. Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from T &M Associates for vices in regard to the Noe
Street Park Shade Structure additional structure design services at a
total cost not to exceed $10,000.00 is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. 'A copy of this Resolution be fonvazded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department, Director of Engineering and T &M Associates.

RE: Confirmation/Proposal for Professional Services —Additional Structural Design Engineering
Noe Street Park Shade Structure
Dear M . Dupont;
Pursuant to our discussion, the services provided by our office for the Noe Street Project exceeded the original fee
by $10,000. This $10,000 was negotiated and approved by Mayor Reiman for the extra work on the shade
structure. You will recall, we did over $30,000 of additional structural design, detailing and calculations for the
structure based on several requested changes. This additional $10,000 fee was never memorialized by resolution,
so we need a resolution to be paid.
Please advise if any additional information is required or if you have any questions concerning this issue and the
approval of the additional fee.
If you have any questions concerning this proposal or our services, please contact us without hesitation.
