ORDINANCE NO. 2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI LEVYING AN ANNUAL
LICENSE TAX ON LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE COMPANIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby levied a license tax of $350.00 per year on
any company engaged in business in this city as a long distance telephone company.
Section 2. Said license tax shall be paid annually in advance on or before
January 1 of each year.
Section 3. Any company or corporation violating the terms of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
not more than $100 per day for each day said violation occurs.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval as of January 1, 1967.
