AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE
( LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF
IBOONVILLE ROAD FROM THE END OF THE EXISTING CURBING TO THE CITY
( LIMITS ON BOONVILLE ROAD IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY GRADING, CURBING AND GUTTERING
AND PAVING WITH ASPHALTIC CONCRETE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI ,
IAS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 7785 of the City, passed May 16,
j1966, and approved May 17, 1966, provided that the City- of
`Jefferson shall pay all costs for the grading and improvement of
IlBoonville Road from the end of the existing curbing to the City
I limits on Boonville Road in excess of $3 .50 per lineal foot. Said
'(work having been completed, the cost thereof in excess of $3.50
,! per lineal foot amounts to $6,678.46. The City shall pay that
amount less $573 .91 for advertising, engineering and liquidated
damages (a net amount of $6,104.55) to the contractor in lieu of
a tax bill therefor.
t� SECTION 2. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate
lfand cost price per front foot as specified in Section 3 of this '
ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting j
)l or abutting on the roadway of Boonville Road from the end of the
AML existing curbing to the City limits on Boonville Road in the City
lof Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway of
� Boonville Road aforesaid, the sum of $12, 329.56 as the total
assessable cost of the improvement of said street and the number
of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said Boonville
( Road aforesaid from the end of the existing curbing to the City
(' limits on Boonville Road amounts to 3, 522-73 runnin g feet;fe t- the cost)
price per running foot is $3.50.
SECTION 3. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said
( roadway of Boonville Road from the end of the existing curbing to
Ithe City limits on Boonville Road there is hereby levied and
iasse the sum of $3.50 as a special tax against each front foot
11of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Boonville Road from

and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abuttin g aid

improved roadway of said Boonville Road.
,. SECTION 4. The name of each property owner or owners and the
description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on
each side of Boonville Road and the number of front feet owned by
each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land
so owned and abutting said block or street between the aforesaid
locations and the cost price per front foot for said improvement
and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special tax for said
improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting
said Boonville Road from the end of the existing curbing to the
City limits on Boonville .Road, is listed as follows: (See attached
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make
out special tax bills in favor of the contractor, Willard Stockman
Construction Company, for the within mentioned work in accordance,
with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative
to said kind of work and in accordance with the Charter of said
City in regard to said work.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
