AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMEND-
ING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING
CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT "G" COMMERCIAL
CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "F" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone land from District "G" Classification to
F
District "IN" Classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the City Planning
and Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and recommendation, and,
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after hearing,
study and consideration, by its report to the City Council, recommended
that the petition should be denied and the property not be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri has held a public hearing
on the 19th day of December, 1966 to hear the views of all interested persons
on the issue of whether the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission should be approved or rejected, after first giving due notice, in a
newspaper of general circulation within the city more than fifteen days prior
to the date of the hearing, of the subject matter, time and place of the
hearing, and inviting all interested persons to appear at the hearing and be
heard, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, has
conducted the hearing and, after hearing the views of all persons expressing
themselves on the matter and considering the recommendation of the Planning
and Zoning Commission, has concluded that it would be in the public interest
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, to reject the recommendation of the
Planning and Zoning Commission and rezone the following described land as
hereinafter stated, now therefore:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as
incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the follow-
ing-described property from District "G" Commercial Classification to
District "F" Highway Commercial Classification, and the following-described
property is, and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly:
The westerly part of lots 8 and 9 of Bauer's Subdivision
of Inlots 500-501-502 and 503 in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and described as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 8 of said
subdivision; thence northerly along the westerly line of lots
8 and 9, for a distance of 99 feet 4-1/2 inches to the north-
westerly corner of Lot 9; thence easterly along the northerly
line of Lot 9 for a distance of 72.0 feet; thence southerly
parallel with the westerly line of Lot 9; for a distance of 46
feet 4-1/2 inches; thence westerly parallel with the northerly
line of Lot 9, for a distance of 13.0 feet; thence southerly
parallel with the westerly line of Lots 8 and 9 for a distance
of 53.0 feet to the southerly line of Lot 8; thence westerly
along and with the southerly line of Lot 8, for a distance of
59.0 feet, to the point of beginning.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
