AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING,
AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY
REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT "A-2"
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION AND DISTRICT "C" MULTIPLE
DWELLING CLASSIFICATION, TO DISTRICT "E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from its present
District "A-2" Classification and District "C" Classification to District
"E" Classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the City Planning
and Zoning Commission for its consideration and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the Commission, after hearing, study and consideration,
recommended that the land described in the petition and hereinafter
described in this ordinance, should be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, through
its Clerk has caused a notice of hearing to be published three consecutive
days in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, the last day of publication having been more than fifteen days
preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein all interested
parties were invited to appear before the Council at the time and place
specified therein and express their views in support of or in opposition to
the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, has
conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing an
interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described on this 19th day
of December, 1966.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as
incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880 of the city, as amended, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the
following-described land from "A-2" Single Family Residence District
and "C" Multiple Family Residence District to District "£" Local
Commercial, and the following-described land is, and it is hereby
accordingly, rezoned:
Part of Outlot No. 54, in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
From the southwest corner of said Outlot No. 54;
thence South 55 degrees east along the northerly line
of High Street, 110 feet, to the beginning point of this
description; thence continuing South 55 degrees east,
along the northerly line of High Street , 299.85 feet,
to the westerly line of Riverside Drive; thence north
16 degrees 39 minutes east, along the westerly line
of Riverside Drive, 16.25 feet; thence north 2 degrees
26 minutes east, along said westerly line, 288.80 feet;
thence continuing along said westerly line, north 0 degrees
55 minutes west, 96. 15 feet; thence north 4 degrees 06
minutes west, along the westerly line of Riverside Drive,
106. 60 feet, to the southerly line of Capitol Avenue;
thence north 55 degrees 03 minutes west, along the
southerly line of Capitol Avenue, 16.80 feet, to a point
that is 110 feet east of the west line of Outlot No. 54;
thence south 34 degrees 50 minutes west, parallel with
the west line of Outlot No. 54, 419.40 feet, to the
beginning point of this description.
Containing in all 1.6 acres, more or less.
Bearings are Magnetic.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
