AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NUMBER 5880 OF THE CITY BY ADDING SUBPARAGRAPH (2).) TO SECTION 1701
OF SAID ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF LAND IN DISTRICT "G"
COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION FOR "BULK OIL PLANTS AND/OR STORAGE OF
WHOLESALE FUELS AND GASOLINES" UPON ISSUANCE OF A SPECIAL PERMIT BY
THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING SUCH USE.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by its Report to the City Council, dated December 10, 1966, recom-
mended that Section 1701 of Ordinance Number 5880, the Zoning Ordinance, be
amended by adding thereto a new subparagraph authorizing the use of land in
District "G" Commercial Classification for "Bulk Oil Plants and/or Storage of
Wholesale Fuels and Gasolines", and
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri, :through its Clerk, caused a
notice of hearing by the Council on the recommendation of said Commission to
be published in a newspaper as required by law, in which notice all persons
were invited to appear and be heard at the time and place of the hearing on the
recommendation of said Commission, and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 1967, the Council conducted the public hearing
at the time and place specified in said notice, hearing all views of everyone
desiring to be heard, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Section 1701 of Ordinance Number 5880 of the City, known as
the Zoning Ordinance, is, and the same is hereby, amended by adding a new
subparagraph to be known as subparagraph (a1.) thereto which shall read in
words and figures as follows:
" Section 1701. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, may, by special
permit after public hearing, authorize the location of any of the following

buildings or uses in any district from which they are prohibited
by this ordinance, and may also permit an increase in the height
of any such buildings:
s-.! Bulk Oil Plants and/or Storage of Wholesale Fuels
and Gasolines in "G" Commercial Districts. "
Section 2. All other existing provisions of Section 1701, as amended,
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
