ORDINANCE NO. 7�?1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING SECTION
10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 5985 OF THE CITY AND ORDINANCES NUMBERED 7038
AND 7206 OF THE CITY (BEING SECTION 405 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, 1956) AND ENACTING A NEW
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS IN THE WARDS OF THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repeal Clause. Section 10 of Ordinance No. 5985
and Ordinances Nu ere -7U3$and 7206 of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri (being Section 405 of the Revised Ordinances of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri , 1956) be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
Section 2. The following voting precincts are hereby established
in the wards of the city:
A) First Ward
1) 1st Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded
as�fool' or'ws': Beginning at a point where the center
line of the Missouri River is intersected by the
northerly extension of the centerline of Marshall
Street; thence southerly along said extension and
the centerline of Marshall Street to the center
line of Miller Street; • thence westerly along the
centerline of Miller Street to the centerline of
Jackson Street; thence southerly along the center
line of Jackson Street to the centerline of
Dunklin Street; thence easterly along the center
line of Dunklin Street to centerline of Chestnut
Street; thence northerly along the centerline of
Chestnut Street to the centerline of Miller Street;
thence westerly along the centerline of Miller
Street to the centerline of Cherry Street; thence
northerly along the centerline of Cherry Street,
and the extension thereof, to the centerline of
the Missouri River; thence westerly along the
centerline of the Missouri River to the point of
Aft beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be
bounded as allows: Beginning at a point where
the centerline of the Missouri River is inter-
sected by the northerly extension of the center
line of Cherry Street; thence southerly along
said extension and the centerline of Cherry
Street to the centerline of Miller Street;
thence easterly along the centerline of Miller
Street to the centerline of Chestnut Street;
thence southerly along the centerline of
Chestnut Street to the centerline of Dunklin
Street; thence easterly along the centerline of
Dunklin Street to the centerline of Clark Avenue;
thence northerly along the centerline of Clark
Avenue to the centerline of McCarty Street;
thence easterly along the centerline of McCarty
Street to the centerline of Benton Street; thence
northerly along the centerline of Benton Street
to the centerline of Capitol Avenue; thence
westerly along the centerline of Capitol Avenue
to the centerline of Sullivan Street; thence
northerly along the centerline of Sullivan Street
and the extension thereof to the centerline of
the Missouri River; thence westerly along the
centerline of the Missouri River to the point
of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River
is intersected by the northerly extension of the centerline of
Sullivan Street; thence southerly along said extension and the
centerline of Sullivan Street to the centerline of Capitol Avenue;
thence easterly along the centerline of Capitol Avenue to the
centerline of Benton Street; thence southerly along the center-
line of Benton Street to the centerline of McCarty Street; thence
westerly along the centerline of McCarty Street to the centerline
of Clark Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of Clark
Avenue to the centerline of Dunklin Street; thence easterly along
the centerline of Dunklin Street and the extension thereof to its
intersection with the southerly extended centerline of Vetter
Lane; thence northerly along said extended centerline of Vetter
Lane to the centerline of the Rex M. Whitton Expressway; thence
easterly along the centerline of said Expressway to the corporate
city limits line; thence along said corporate city limits line by
the shortest route to the centerline of the Missouri River; thence
westerly along the centerline of the Missouri River to the point
of beginning.
B) Second Ward
1) 1st Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River
is intersected by the northerly extension of the centerline of
Marshall Street; thence southerly along said extension and the
centerline of Marshall Street to the centerline of Miller Street;
thence westerly along the centerline of Miller Street to the center-
line of Jackson Street; thence southerly along the centerline of
Jackson Street to the centerline of the Rex M. Whitton Express-
way; thence westerly along the centerline of said Expressway to
the centerline of Washington Street; thence northerly along the
centerline of Washington Street and the extension thereof to the
centerline of the Missouri River; thence easterly along the center-
line of said river to the point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River is
intersected by the northerly extension of the centerline of
Washington Street; thence southerly along and with said exten-
sion and the centerline of Washington Street to the centerline of
the Rex M. Whitton Expressway; thence westerly along the center-
line of said Expressway to the centerline of U. S. Highway 54;
thence northeasterly along the centerline of U. S. Highway 50,
54, and 63 to the centerline of the Missouri River; thence easterly
along the centerline of said river to.the point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Rex M. Whitton
Expressway is intersected by the centerline of Jackson Street;
thence southerly along the centerline of Jackson Street to the
centerline of Dunklin Street; thence westerly along the center-
line of Dunklin Street to the centerline of Madison Street; thence
southerly along the centerline of Madison Street to the centerline
of Atchison Street; thence westerly along the centerline of
Atchison Street and the extension thereof to the centerline of U.S.
Highway 54; thence northerly along the centerline of U. S. High-
way 54 to the centerline of U. S. Highway 50 and 63 and the Rex
M. Whitton Expressway; thence easterly along the centerline of
said Expressway to the point of beginning.

C) Third Ward
® 1) 1st Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River
is intersected by the centerline of U. S. Highway 50, 54 and
63; thence south along the centerline of said highway to the
centerline of McCarty Street; thence westerly along the center-
line of McCarty Street to the centerline of Fulkeison Street and
!industrial Drive; thence westerly along the centerline of
Industrial Drive to the southwesterly extension of the
centerline of Hamlin Street; thence northeasterly along said
extension and the centerline of Hamlin Street and the north-
easterly extension thereof to the centerline of the Missouri
River; thence easterly along the centerline of the river to the
point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River
is intersected by the northeasterly extension of the centerline
of Hamlin Street; thence southwesterly along said extension
and the centerline of Hamlin Street and the southwesterly exten-
sion of said centerline to the centerline of Industrial Drive;
thence westerly along the centerline of Industrial Drive to the
centerline of Dix Road; thence northerly along the centerline of
Dix Road to the centerline of Main Street; thence easterly along
the centerline of Main Street to the centerline of Ware Avenue;
thence northerly along the centerline of Ware Avenue and the
extension thereof, to the south line of Sunset Place Addition;
thence east along the south line of Sunset Place Addition to the
east line of said Addition; thence north along the east line of
said Addition, and the extension thereof, to the centerline of
the Missouri River; thence easterly along the centerline of the
Missouri River to the point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of the Missouri River
is intersected by the northerly extension of the east line of
Sunset Place Addition; thence southerly along said extension
and the east line of Sunset Place Addition to the south line of
1p said Addition; thence westerly along the south line of Sunset
Place Addition to its intersection with the northerly extension
of the centerline of Ware Avenue; thence southerly along said
extension and the centerline of Ware Avenue to the centerline of
Main Street; thence westerly along the centerline of Main Street
to the centerline of Dix Road; thence south along the centerline
of Dix Road to the centerline of Industrial Drive; thence westerly
along the centerline of Industrial Drive to its intersection with
the southerly extended centerline of Forest Hill; thence northerly
along said extension and the centerline of Forest Hill to the
centerline of Marilyn Drive; thence westerly along the centerline
of Marilyn Drive to the centerline of Lowell Drive; thence
northerly along the centerline of Lowell Drive to the centerline of
Boonville Road; thence westerly along the centerline of Boonville
Road to the city limits line; thence along the city limits line by
the shortest route to the centerline of the Missouri River; thence
easterly along the centerline of the Missouri River to the point of
beginning.
4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the southerly extension of the center-
line of Forest Hill intersects the centerline of Industrial Drive;
thence northerly along said extension and the centerline of Forest
Hill to the centerline of Marilyn Drive; thence westerly along
the centerline of Marilyn Drive to the centerline of Lowell Drive;
thence northerly along the centerline of Lowell Drive to the
centerline of Boonville Road; thence westerly along the center-
line of Boonville Road to the city limits line; thence along the
city limits line by the shortest route to its intersection with the
centerline of Industrial Drive; thence easterly along the center-
line of Industrial Drive to the point of beginning.
D). Fourth Ward
1) 1st Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of Madison Street is
intersected by the easterly extension of the centerline of Swift's
Highway; thence southerly along the centerline of Madison
Street to the centerline of Russell Street; thence easterly along
the centerline of Russell Street, and the extension thereof, to
the centerline of Lafayette Street; thence southerly along the
centerline of Lafayette Street, and the extension thereof, to the
city limits line; thence along the city limits line by the shortest
route t6the centerline of Swift's Highway; thence easterly along
the centerline of Swift's Highway to the centerline of Southwest
Boulevard; thence southerly along the centerline of Southwest
Boulevard to the centerline of Swift's Highway; thence easterly
along the centerline of Swift's Highway to the centerline of Myrtle
Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of Myrtle Avenue
to the centerline of Swift's Highway; thence easterly along the
centerline of Swift's Highway, and the extension thereof, to the
point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of Madison Street is
intersected by the easterly extension of the centerline of Swift's
Highway; thence northerly along the centerline of Madison Street
to the centerline of Atchison Street; thence westerly along the
centerline of Atchison Street, and the extension thereof, to the
centerline of U. S. Highway 54; thence northerly along the center-
line of U. S. Highway 54 to the centerline of Wears--Creek; thence
westerly along the centerline of Wears Creek to the city limits
line; thence along the city limits line by the shortest route to the
centerline of Swift's Highway; thence easterly along the center-
line of Swift's Highway to the centerline of Southwest Boulevard;
thence southerly along the centerline of Southwest Boulevard to
the centerline of Swift's Highway; thence easterly along the center-
line of Swift's Highway to the centerline of Myrtle Avenue; thence
northerly along the centerline of Myrtle Avenue to the centerline of
Swift's Highway; thence easterly along the centerline of Swift's
Highway and the extension thereof to the point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point where the centerline of U. S. Highway 54 is .
intersected by the centerline of Wears Creek; thence westerly
along the centerline of Wears Creek to the city limits line; thence
along the city limits line by the shortest route to the centerline of
Industrial Drive; thence easterly along the centerline of Industrial
Drive to the centerline of McCarty Street; thence easterly along
the centerline of McCarty Street to the centerline of U. S. Highway
54; thence southerly along the centerline of U. S. Highway 54 to
the point of beginning.

E) Fifth Ward
1) lat Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded
as follows: Beginning at a point where the center
line of Dunklin Street is intersected by the center
' e line of Chestnut Street; thence southerly along the
® centerline of Chestnut Street to the centerline of
Fairmount Boulevard; thence easterly along the cen-
terline of Fairmount Boulevard and the centerline
of Hillcrest to the centerline of Moreau Drive;
thence northly alongg the centerline of Moreau Drive
to the centerline of Atchison Street; thence east-
erly along the centerline of Atchison Street and
Bald Hill Road to the city limits line; thence
along the city limits line by the shortest route
to the centerline of the Rex M. Whitton Expressway;
thence westerly along the centerline of said
Expressway to the centerline extended of Vetter
Lane; thence south along the extended line of Vetter
Lane to the extended centerline of Dunklin Street;
thence westerly along the centerline extended and
the centerline of Dunklin Street to the point of
beginning.

2) 2ttd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded
as follows: Beginning at a point where the center
line of Chestnut Street is intersected by the center
line of Fairmount Boulevard; thence southerly along
the centerline of Chestnut Street to the centerline
of Leslie Boulevard; thence easterly along the cen-
terline of Leslie Boulevard, and the extension
thereof, to the city limits line;:' thence along the
city limits line by the shortest route to the cen-
terline of Bald Hill Road; thence westerly along
the centerline of Bald Hill Road and the centerline
of Atchison Street to the centerline of Moreau
Drive; thence southerly along the centerline of
Moreau Drive to the centerline of Hillcrest; thence
westerly along the centerline of Hillcrest and the
centerline of Fairmount Boulevard to the point of
beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded
as Fo ows: Beginning at a point where the center
line of Chestnut Street is intersected by the
centerline of Leslie Boulevard; thence southerly
along the centerline of Chestnut Street, and the
extension thereof, to the city limits line;"`-thence
along the city limits line by the shortest route
to its intersection with the extended centerline
of Leslie Boulevard; thence westerly along said
extended centerline and the centerline of Leslie
Boulevard to the point of beginning.
4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded

line of Dunklin Street is intersected by the center
line of Madison Street; thence southerly along the
centerline of Madison Street to the centerline of
Russell Street; thence easterly along the center
line of Russell Street, and the extension thereof,
to the centerline of Lafayette Street; thence
southerly along the centerline of Lafayette Street,
and the extension thereof, to the city limits line;
thence along the city limits line by the shortest
route to the extended centerline of Chestnut Street;
thence northerly along the extension and the center
line of Chestnut Street to the centerline of

of Dunklin Street to the point of beginning.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from anT after its passage and approval
as of the 17th day of Januarys , 1967.
