AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
7190 OF THE CITY REGULATING THE OPERATION OF TAXICABS WITHIN THE CITY,
BY REPEALING SECTION 11 THEREOF PRESCRIBING THE RATES OF CHARGE BY TAXICABS,
AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 11 RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINFD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ReQeal Clause. Section 11 of Ordinance No. 7190 prescribing
the rates chargeable by taxicabs within this city be, and the same is hereby,
repealed.
Section 2. Taxicab rates. There is hereby enacted a new provision to
be known as Section 11 of Ordinance No. 7190 to regulate the rates of fare
of taxicabs and said provision shall read in words and figures as follows:
'!Section 11 of Ord. No. 7190. Rates of fare for transpor-
tation: From and after the effective date of this ordinance,
it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association or
corporation engaged in the operation of a taxicab business
under a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity within
the limits of the city to charge a rate of fare either less
or greater than follows:
.500, for the first one half (1J2)mile
.lOp for each additional one fourth (1/4) mile
.10p for each additional passenger over one passenger
$4.00 per hour for waiting time
Section 3. Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
