ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING AND
MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED
INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND
FROM A DISTRICT "A-l" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO A DISTRICT
"E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone land from its present District "A-1" Classi-
fication to a District "E" Local Classification, and
WHEREAS, on October 5, 1964, the City Council did refer the petition
to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after hearing,
study and consideration, by its report dated March 13, 1967 and received and
read by the City Council on March 20, 1967, recommended that the land des-
cribed hereinafter should be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by and
through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for the purpose of
rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a newspaper of general
circulation within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publica-
tion having been more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by
the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all interested parties were
requested to appear before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and expressing their
views in support of or in opposition to the recommendation of the Planning
and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, has
conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing an
interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as

incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the following-

described property from District "A-l" Single Family Residence Classification
to District "E" Local Commercial. Classification, and the following-described
property is, and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly:
Part of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 11, Township 44, Range 12,
in the County of Cole, Missouri, more particularly
described as follows:
From the northeast corner of the North west quarter
of the northwe-st quarter of said Section 11; thence
South 5 degrees 43 minutes East along the quarter
quarter section line to a point 200 feet north of
the north line of U. S. Route 50 and the beginning
point of this description; thence continuing South
5 degrees 43 minutes East, along said quarter
quarter section line, 200 feet to the north line of
U. S. Route 50; thence easterly along the northerly
line of said U. S. Route 50, 560 feet more or less
to a point that is 525 feet east of the quarter
quarter section line if measured perpendicular to
the quarter quarter section line; thence North 5
degrees 43 minutes West, 200 feet; thence westerly
parallel to northerly line of said U. S. Route 50 a
distance of 560 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
