AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING AND
MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCOR-
PORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING A CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-l" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL CLASSIFI-
CATION TO COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from its
present District "A-1" Single Family Residential Classification, District
"C" Multiple Family Residence Classification and District "D" Multiple
Family Residence Classification to District "F" Highway Commercial, and

WHEREAS, the City Council did refer said petition for rezoning to
the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration, hearing
and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, of ter hearing,
study and consideration did recommend to the City Council by its report
dated April 15, 1967 that the land hereinafter described be rezoned as
hereinafter provided, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by
and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for the purpose
of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a newspaper of general
circulation within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publi-
cation having been more than fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing
by the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all interested parties
were requested to appear before the City Council at the time and place
specified therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and ex-
pressing their views in support of or in opposition to the recommendation
of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, on
this 5th day of June, 1967 has conducted said hearing and heard the views
of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of the land herein-
after described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the
following-described property from its present District "A-1" Single Family
Residential Classification, District "C" Multiple Family Residential
Classification and District "D" Multiple Family Residence Classification
to District "E" Local Commercial Classification, and the following-
described property is, and it is hereby rezoned accordingly:
All land lying between St. Mary's Boulevard and
present U. S. Highway 50 West and lying westerly
of, and within 710.5 feet of the west line of Dix
Road, excluding all land adjacent to the north
line of U. S. Highway 50 West that is presently
zoned in District "F" Highway Commercial Classifi-
cation. Also all of lots 26 through 44, the
westerly 20 feet of lot 45, and all of lots •57
t; and 58 of the W. A. Beck addition to the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, as per plat of record in
Plat Book 5, Page 23, Cole County Recorder's Office.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
