AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CREATING THE
OFFICE OF POLICE FILE CLERK AND PRESCRIBING THE METHOD OF
APPOINTMENT, QUALIFICATIONS, TERM, DUTIES AND COMPENSATION OF
THE OFFICE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Police File Clerk. The office of Police File Clerk of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby created and established.
Section 2. Appointment and term. The Police File Clerk shall be appointed
by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of the elected members of the
-,� city council. She shall hold her office at the pleasure of the mayor or until
removed by the city council in accordance with the ordinances of the city.
Section 3. Qualifications. The Police File Clerk shall be a resident of the
.city, at least twenty-one years of age, and shall have completed at least
two years of high school.
Section 4. Duties. The Police File Clerk shall assist the Police Court Clerl
in her duties.
Section 5. Compensation, The Police File Clerk shall receive the following
compensation:

Section 6, Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
as of July 1, 1967, after its passage and approval.
