AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE OPERATION
OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON ROADWAYS WITHIN THE CITY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Stop Signs_. The driver of a motor vehicle in motion on
the roadway named first in the following numbered paragraphs shall bring
the vehicle to a full and complete stop before entering the intersection of
said roadway with the roadway named last in the same numbered paragraph,
Im yielding the right of way to any pedestrian crossing a roadway at the inter-
section within any marked or unmarked crosswalk, or to any motor vehicle
that is not required to stop at the intersection which is either within the
intersection or approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an immediate
hazard.
Stop On:
_(5) Christy Street before entering Russell Street.
(10) Jefferson Street before entering Stadium Boulevard.
(15) The Access Road extending from Old Cole County Route "C'.' to
Jefferson Street before entering Jefferson.Street.
(20) The Exit Ramp leading to Jefferson Street from U. S. Highway
Am 54 for southbound traffic on U. S. Highway 54 intending to
continue south on Jefferson Street before entering Jefferson
Street.
(25) Tanner Bridge Road before entering Christy Street.
(30) The Exit Ramp leading to Christy.Street from U. S. Highway
54 before entering Christy Street.
(35) Monroe Street before entering Tanner Bridge Road.
(40) Christy Street before entering Ellis Boulevard.
(45) The Outer Road, adjacent to and north of U. S. Highway 50,
at the entrance of said Outer Road with U. S. Highway 50 at
Station 667+00 as shown on the Missouri State Highway Com-
mission plan and profile of U. S. Highway 50, Project No.
CO26-50 (5) UA before entering U. S. Highway 50.
(50) The Exit Road to Dix Road from U. S. Highway 50, lying
adjacent to and north of said highway, before entering Dix
Road.
(55) The Exit Road to Dix Road from U. S. Highway 50, lying
adjacent to and south of said highway, before entering Dix
Road.

(60) Clay Street before entering McCarty Street.
(65) McCarty Street before entering the exit ramp for southbound
traffic on U. S. Highway 54 and 63 that leads to the inter-
mediate level traffic loop of the tri-level interchange of
U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63.
(70) McCarty Street before entering the access ramp for northbound
traffic extending from the intermediate level traffic loop of
the tri-level interchange of U. S. Highway 50, 54 and 63 to
U. S. Highways 54 and 63.
(75) The Access Ramp extending southerly from U. S. Highway 54 and
63 to the intermediate level traffic loop of the tri-level
interchange of U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63, before entering
the intermediate level traffic loop.
(80) The Access Ramp extending easterly from U. S. Highway 50 to
the intermediate level traffic loop of the tri-level interchange
of U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63, before entering the intermediate
level traffic loop.
(85) The Access Ramp extending northerly from U. S. Highway 54 to the
intermediate level traffic loop of the tri-level interchange of
U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63, before entering the intermediate
level traffic loop.
(90) The Access Ramp extending westerly from U. S. Highway 50 and 63
to the intermediate level traffic loop of the tri-level inter-
change of U. S. Highways 50, 54 and 63 before entering the inter-
mediate level traffic loop.
Section 2. Penalty. Any person who violates any of the provisions
of Section of this ordinance, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished
by a fine of not more than $100.00, or by imprisonment in jail for not more
than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. 'Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
