AN ORDINANCE CF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI VACATING AND DIS-
CONTINUING AS A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE PART OF A PUBLIC ALLEY IN SAID
CITY AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK OF
THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM
IN THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LAND THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN
THE VACATED RIGHT OF WAY.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that it would be in the public interest if the right of
way for a public alley described hereinafter in Section 1 of this ordinance

were to be abandoned as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and said
public alley vacated,:now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri hereby
declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right of way
for a public thoroughfare and forever vacate the following described portion
of a public alley in said city:
"All of the east-west alley lying between and bounded
by Inlot No. 2 65 on the north and Inlot No. 2 69 on
the south in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that is
not within the right-of-way of U. S. Highway 54-63."
Section 2. ' The statutory right of reversion in the owner of the abutting
property to that portion of the public alley above described, as provided by
the laws of the State of Missouri, is hereby expressly confirmed, and the
Mayor and Clerk of the city are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
written instruments required to confirm in the abutting property owner its
"" reversionary rights in the land hereinabove described and hereby vacated.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval,
