Section 1. ChaQter XIV, Sections 2.1 - 2.2 - 2. 3 of Ordinance
Number. 5652, regulatinf and controlling the plumbing trade within e
the City of Jefferson, Missouri , to be known ns the Plumbing Code
of the City of Jefferson, and provid-1.ng n penalty for v-_alations
thereof, with a repeal clause , be and is h:;, ,7by repealed.
Section 2. The office of Plum.,irgr Inspector Is hereby created.

Section 3. The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of a rra;_ ority of ti-e ' cmbers of the j
City Council, for a. term of two -,rr-ars or until his successor is
duly appointed and qualified. He shall be appointed on or before
the second regular mect_ine: of the city council in the year 1955 ark
every two ,years thereafter. In the event of his death, resigna-
tion or .removal from office , the Mayor, with the consent of a
ma,iority of the members of the City Council, may make an interim
appointment of a qualified person to servo the balance of the
two year term.
Section 4. The Plumbing Inspector shall be o• nr the a :; of
twenty-one years. He shall be a person of good moral character !�
