Section 1. Ordinance Number 4895 of the City of Jefferson, creating the office of License Inspector, defining lzis duties, i term of office a;-d camne • nation is hereby repealed. i Section 2. 1he office :)f Lioense Inspector is hereby creat d. Section 3. The License Inspector shell be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of a majorit;; of the Ynembe.rs of the Council;. He shell serve for a term of tw.o ;�reaos or until his successor is i duly appointed and qualified. Section 6. -J-'he License inspector shall haze the duty to i ascertain if the ordinances of the city pertaining to thelicenses for nlanufacturovs, merchants and businesses, peddlers, transient merchants , solicitors , canvassers and all other taxable trades, ! piir.uits, occuna.tions or enterprises are being complied with, and �e shall strictly enforce said ordinance. Section 7.
