order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman on Friday, June 25, 2021 at
approximately 10:00 a.m., remotely, via telephone call -in.
Upon Individual Roll Call, the following were noted present:
Conunissioner Frank James, Jr.

Also noted present were Robert J. Bergen, Esq., Borough Attorney and
Carmela Pogorzelski, Board Secretary.
The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance led by Commissioner Gerstler.
The Notice of today's meeting was sent to The Home News Tribune
and The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board, the doors of the
Memorial Municipal Building and the Borough's website on June 18,
2021. Notice was published in The Home News Tribune and The Star
Ledger on June 23, 2021. All items being voted on were posted on the
Borough's website, www.carteret.net prior to today's meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to approve liquor license renewals and
any other business that may come before the Board.
Minutes for Approval — September 25, 2020.
Mayor Reiman suggested that Commissioner Gerstler abstain on the
minutes because he was not on the board at the time the meeting was
held.
Upon MMS &C, by Commissioner James and Mayor Reiman and
affirmative vote by Mayor Reiman and Commissioner James the
minutes of September 25, 2020 were approved as transcribed and
engrossed by the Clerk. Commissioner Gerstler abstained.

Mayor Reiman said he wanted to amend the Agenda to include
Resolution #03 -21, to restrict the sale of certain size containers. He
said he has seen issues where liquor stores are selling loose cans of
beer, loose cans of carbonated beverages; breaking up packs. He said
also mini size shots 1 oz. and 2 oz. vodka, gin, whiskey. He said he
has no objection to 12 pack to 20 pack flavored party pack shots that
are sealed but some people buy these minis and loose cans, drink them
and throw them on the ground in front of certain liquor stores and in
other areas.
Mayor Reiman asked for a Motion to Amend the Agenda to include
Resolution 403 -21, Restricting the Sale of Certain Size Containers, Re;
Minis and/or Loose Cans, which would be effective January 2, 2022.
AGENDA AMENDED Upon MMS &C, by Commissioners James and Gerstler and unanimous
RESOLUTION #03 -21 affirmative vote of the full membership present, the Agenda was
Amended to include Resolution 403 -21.
MEETING OPEN Upon MMS &C, by Commissioners James and Gerstler and unanimous
TO PUBLIC affirmative vote of the full membership present, the meeting was
opened to the public on Resolutions and /or any new business.
PUBLIC PORTION There being no comments or objections, upon MMS &C, by
CLOSED Commissioners Gerstler and James and unanimous affirmative vote of
the Rill membership present, the meeting was closed to the public.

Mayor Reiman reminded the commissioners when voting, they should
abstain on any Resolution if they are a member of any club or
organization listed.
CONSENT AGENDA Mayor Reiman asked for a motion on the Consent Agenda as
Amended.

were Adopted as Amended. Upon individual roll call vote, Mayor
Reiman Abstained on license #009 & #032 - CBP and #065 -
Craftsmen Club and voted in the affirmative on all others,
Conunissioner Gerstler Abstained on license #047 — American Legion
and voted in the affirmative on all others, Commissioner James
Abstained on 4052 — Columbian Chub and voted in the affirmative on
all others.
Mayor Reiman welcomed Commissioner Gerstler who is filling the
open seat held by former Mayor James Failace who passed away, and
said he is still in our memories. He asked if anyone had any comments
or questions before adjourning the meeting.
Commissioner Gerstler thanked the mayor and said he was grateful for
being considered for Commissioner on the board.
Commissioner James said he wanted everyone to remember former
mayor /commissioner James Failace and said he was a good man who
always did the right thing.
Mayor Reiman and Commissioner Gerstler agreed.

the full membership present, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 10:06 a.m.
