AN ORDINMiCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 6015 OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONp MISSOURI, THAT CREATED THE OFFICE OF MILK INSPECTOR'l
DEFINED THE METHOD OF FILLING THAT OFFICE, THE TERM OF OFFICE,
THE BOND AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THE OFFICE, AMD FIXED THE POWERS
AND DUTIES OF SAID OFFICE, A ?D ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE PER-
TAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Spector, defining the method of filling said office,, the term
of office, the bond and qualifications of said office, and fixing
the powers and duties of said office, be and the same is hereby
repealed,
Section 2. Milk Inspector. ' he Office of Milk Inspectow
II hereby created.-
�i! Section 9. Appointment. jhe Milk Inspector shall be
11 appointed by the ayo y and*wit the concept of a majority Ii
of the members Of the ity Council, for a term of two years or
until his successor shall havebeen duly appointed and shall
have qualifiedo he shall be appointed on or before the second
regular meeting of the City Council following the general city
election in the year 1955 and every two years thereafter. In
the event of his death., resignation, or removal from office,,
the Mayor, with the consent of a majority of the members of the
Council, may make an interim appointemnt of a qualified person
to serve the balance of the two year term,
liI Section 4. Qualifications. The Milk Inspector shall be I
over the age of twenty one years. he shall be a person of good
moral character and he shall be diligent and physieially able to
carry out all duties delegated to him by Ordinance, the Mayor,
the City Council or the Board of health. He shall have such
other qualifiactions as may be prescribed by the Board of Health.
11 After appointment, the Health Officer shall be approved by the

i Section 5. Bond. He shall be required to give bond In the
sum of One ($7,000_._0_6T_Thousand Dollars upon the fsithful per-
formance of his dutieso
Section 6, Duties. He shall perform all of the duties
ii1 delegated to him b7_TRI_nanee Number 6045, as hereafter amended.
He shall also perform all duties delegated to him by any other
ordinance of this city, The Mayor, the Council or the Board
of Health.
Section 7. Powers. He shall have all powers necessary to
1 carry out and enforce the provisions of Ordinance Number
and all amendments thereto, and any other ordinances which he
may be directed to enforce under the terms and provisions thereof.
Section S. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in force
