AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MOAB MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 17.09.210.
WHEREAS, the City Council, on the recommendation of the Moab City
Planning Commission deems that it is necessary to amend the Moab Municipal Code
with respect to the definition of a minimum number of hard surfaced parking areas as
set forth in Moab Municipal Code 17.09.210, Off -Street Parking and Loading —
Generally:
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
17. 09. 210. Off -Street Parking and Loading --Generally.
The regulations set out in Sections 17.09.220 through 17.09.230 are established to
increase safety and lessen congestion in the public streets, to provide adequately for
parking needs associated with the development of land and increased automobile
usage, to set standards for off-street parking according to the amount of traffic
generated by each use, and to reduce the on -street storage of vehicles. There shall be
provided minimum off-street parking spaces with adequate provisions for ingress and
egress by standard sized vehicles in accordance with the requirements of this code at
the time of erection of any main building or at the time such buildings are structurally
enlarged or converted to increase the use or capacity of the buildings. Parking
arrangements must be approved by the zoning administrator; four inches of gravel may
be allowed for parking lots less than fie seven spaces if the spaces are delineated and

PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Moab in
open session this 2 6 day of Sept ,1995, This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
