Four feet in width, 11.0 feet back from face of curb, on the west
Side of Linden Drive between Broadway and Pamela Streets, and
!, abuttim 28 feet on Linden Drive, owned by Curtis Coyp be constructed
and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of this
. ordinane on the owner of the property lweinabove described.

Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this ordinancei
ii the CityClerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a
certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal shall
serve or, cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the owner
or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said
owner or owners or by leaving it with some member of his family
over the age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of
said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the
City Clerk.
Section 3 . In the event the owner or owners above named
fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed then the
City of Jefferson, under the power and authority liven it by its
charter and ordinances 9
l will construct said sidewalk and will issue
a special tax bill against said property for the cost of the
construction of said sidewalk which said special tax bill will
11 be 1a lien against the property above described.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

( STREET IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 6084. AN ORDINANCE providing
for the improvement of the Roadway of Beck Street in the block
jjfrom the center of the intersection of Beck Street and U. S.
Highway no. 50 to the center of the intersection of Beck Street
and St. Mary's Boulevard in the City of Jefferson, Missouri,, by
paving with Portland cement concrete.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON., AS
Ij FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by-its resolution, passed and approved on
11 March 7th 1955 necessary to pave with Portland cement concrete
the roadway of Beck in
Street the block from the center of the

intersection of Beck Street and U. S. Highway no 50 to the center
of the intersection of Beck Street and St. Mary's Boulevard and
i it appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been
duly published according to the law for more than seven (7)
I consecutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily.- newspaper.,
printed and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a
ji majority of the resident owners of' property along said section
11 of Beck Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who
11 own a majority of the front feet on said Beak Street intended to
11 be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against
said contemplated improvement.

Section 2. That the said road of Beck Street, be graded and
paved in accordance wih the plans and specifications submitted by
;I the City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and
1� that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and
11 levied as a 'special assessment against the real estate abutting
and fronting on saidoontemplated improvement, and special tax
bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter,
and in Sections 764, 7650 766, and 767 of Chapter 13, of the
Revised ordinances of the Cityof Jefferson, Missouri 941, and
of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 19 and
490 1,
amendments thereto.
Section 3 . The City Engineer- is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
