REQUIREMENTS APPLICABLE TO ALL SIGNS. All signs shall be structural. y strong and free rom h"z—aIcr 's to pedestrians and i constructed of non-combustible materials. Such signs, if electric !I, shall.-conform to the electrical code and any amendments thereto. All signs heretofore or hereafter erected shall be maintained and kept in good repair and safe condition as directed by and under thi supervision of the Electrical Inspector. SEC`d'ION 7. EXCEPTIONS. All interior non-electrical si ns and all exterior non-e ectrical signs of less than thirty-two (321 square feet in area and weighing less than- twenty five (25) pounds, and erected at a height of not more than eight (8) feet above the ground, and all signs painted on glass, wood or other stationary parts of buildings are exempt from the provisions of this ordinance except that' exterior nofi-electrical signs may' not hereafter be bret�ted' on ' the outside of any building unless said ,6ign is attacliedl to the building in such a manner so- as not to exceed over one (1) foot from the front or face of the building. I SECTION 8. ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. It shall be the duty of the j electrical inspector to inspect all signs for which permits are issued for the purpose of determining whether the signs conform to the requirements of this ordinance . It shall further be his duty to make such inspections as may be necessary to determine whether such signs are properly and safely maintained. l I SECTION g. PENALTY. Any person, firm or Corporation, who shall fail to comply wi=th any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. SECTION 10. EFFECTIVE DATE.
