AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERED 3147, 3566, Section 20
OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON OF 1941 (AS
SECTION 20 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 4551) AND 4980, PROHIBITING THE
OPERATOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE FROM MAKING A "U" TURN, AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND ENACTING A
NEW ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERATOR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE FROM
MAKING A REVERSE TURN, COMMONLY CALLED A "U" TURN, AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
I
Section 1. Ordinances Numbered 3147, 3566, Section 20 of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson of 1941. (as
Section 2Q of Ordinance 4551) and 4980, prohibiting the
operator of a motor vehicle from making a nU" turn. on the streets
of this city, be and the same are hereby repealed.

Section 2. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a
motor vehicle to execute a Reverse Turn, commonly called a "Ulf
turn within the congested district. The congested district is
dwfined as follows: From the north line of Capitol Avenue to
the south line of McCarty Street and from the east line of
Marshall Street to the west line of Mulberry Street; from the
east line of Madison Street to the west line of Jefferson Street
on Dunklin Street.

Section 1. Ordinances Numbered 3346, 3924, 41$3 , 5019, 5292,
5300, 5325, 5357, 535$, 5363 , 5371, 5511, 5568, 5569, 5636, 5646,
, 5696, 5711, 5764, 5801, 5879, 6020, 6043 , X06., 60790 6114, and
16116, prohibiting the operator of a motor vehicle from permitting
the same to be parked on specified streets within the areas des-
ignated thereon, and providing a penalty for the violation there-
of, be and the same are hereby repealed.
I . Section 2. It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor
vehicle to permit the same to be parked within the following
specifically designated areas on the following named streets:
( 5 ) On the south side of Capitol Avenue within a distance
of fifty (50) feet west of the west curb of Linn St.
(10) On the north side of Capitol Avenue within a distance
of fifty eight (58) feet west of the west curb of
Pine St.
(15) On the north side of Capitol Avenue within a distance
of one hundred and eighty (180) feet east of the east
curb of Linn St.
(20) On the north side of Capitol Avenue between two points
located fourteen (14) feet and fifty four (54) feet
west of the west curb of Adams Street.
(25) On the west side of Clark Avenue within a distance of
seventy five (75) feet south of the south curb of
McCarty St.
(30) On the north side of High Street within a distance of
three hundred and ten (310) feet west of the western
end of the new Viaduct,
(35) On the north side of High Street between two points
located seventy three (73 ) feet and one hundred and
twenty five (125 ) feet, east of the east curb of Chest-
nut Street.
(40) On the south side of High Street within a distance of
one hundred and twenty four (124) feet east of the
east curb of Havana Street.
(45 ) On the west side of Jefferson Street within a distance J
of eighteen (18) feet south of the alley lying south
of High Street and running parallel to and lying in
` between High Street and McCarty Street.
(50) On the west side of Johnson Street between two points
located two hundred and sixty six (266) feet and three
hundred and sixteen (316) feet north of the north edge
of Hough Street.
(55) On the north side of Main Street within the one hundred
(100) foot distance between the driveway entrances to
the establishment on the northeast corner of the inter
section of Main Street and Boonville Road.
(60) On the south side of Main Street within a distance
of eighty seven ($7) feet west of the west curb of
Jordan Street.
(65 ) On the south side of Main Street within a distance
of three hundred and sixty two (362) feet east of
