�NIORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 2741 OF THE CITY OF i
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI (ALSO BEING SECTION 272 OF THE REVISED ORDINANC S
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON OF 1941) RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF THE
CITY ASSESSOR AND HIS TENURE IN OFFICE, AND ENACTING AN ORDINANCE.
PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 2741 of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, (also being Section 272 of the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson of 1941) relating to the
election of the City Assessor and his tenure in office, be and the
same is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Election of Assessor, his tenure in office.
At the general city election, to be held the first Tuesday in
April, 1927, and every two years thereafter, the qualified voters
of the city shall elect some suitable and competent person to the
office of assessor. The person so elected shall be styled "Assesso
of the City of Jefferson" . The assessor shall hold his office for
a term of two years, and his term of office shall commence on the
1st day of September after the election at which he is elected.
He shall be a qualified voter of the city, and shall have resided
therein at least two years, next preceding his election.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Repealing Section 8 of Ordinance 5985 of the City of
Jefferson, relating to the compensation to Judges and Clerks for
the city elections, and enacting a new Section 8 pertaining to the
same subject.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8 of Ordinance 5985 of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, relating to the compensation to Judges and
Clerks for the City elections, be and the same is hereby repealed,
and a new section pertaining to the same subject is hereby enacted
and shall read as follows:
Section 8. Judges and Clerks; Compensation. All judges or
clerks of any special or general city election shall be allowed
Six ($ 6.00) Dollars for their services in conducting said elections
and returning the poll books and ballots to the City Clerkts Office
said sum to be paid out of the City Treasury.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
