said resolution has been duly published according; to the law for
more than seven (7) consecutive insertions, in the Post;-Tribi)ne
a daily newspaper, printed and published in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and a majority of the resident owners of property along;
said section of Elm Street liable for the costs of said improve-
ment, and who own a majority of the front feet on said Elm Street
intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a
i' protest against said contemplated improvement.
Section 2. That the said road of Elm Street, from the
intersection of Elm Street and Vetter lane to the intersection
of Elm Street and a point 123 feet east of Gordon Street, be
graded and paved with penetration bituminius macadam, in
!� accordance with the plans and specifications bubmitted by the
1; City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that
the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied
as a special assessment against the real estate abutting and
fronting on said contemplated improvement, and special tax bills
;; shall be issued therefor, as provided in the City Charter, and in
!� Sections 764, 765, 766, 767 of Chapter 13, of the Revised
I! Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1941, and of the
l Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments

thereto.
Section 3 . The City Engineer is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 19 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 6000 OF
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, WHICH PERTAINED TO THE NUMBER
OF TRAFFIC POLICEMEN't IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AND ENACTING A
NEW SECTION 19 PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
f� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 19 of Ordinance Number 6000 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, relating to the number of Traffic
Policement in the City of Jefferson, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section 2. There shall be ten (10) traffic Policemen .. in
the Traffic Department of the City of Jefferson, Missouri .
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
