BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved
on August 15,, 1955 necessary to pave with Portland Cement
I Concrete the roadway of Marion Street in the block from the
center of the intersection of Marion Street and Hub Street to
the center of the intersection of Marion Street and the !lest
Line of Lot 14 Block 2 Jefferson Heights and it appearing to
the City Council that said resolution iias lu-en duly published
according to the law for more than seven (7 ) consecutive
insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed
and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority
of the resident owners of property along said section of Marion
Street liable for the costs of said improvement, and who own a
I majority of the front feet on said Marion Street intended to be
improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against
said contemplated improvement.
Section 2. That the said road of Marion Street from the
intersection of Marion Street and Hub Street to the intersection
of Marion Street and the west line of lot 14 block 2 Jefferson
Heights in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted
by the City Engineer and filed in the office of the City Clerk,
and that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged
and levied as a special assessment against the real estate
abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement* and
special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as provided in the
City Charter, and in Sections 764, 7651 76 and 767 of Chapter
13 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
1941 and of the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 19499
and amendments thereto.
Section 3 . The City Engineer is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for this improvement.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

An Ordinance levying and assessing a special tax against each lot
or piece of ground lying between and situate within the bounds of
Sewer District No. 79 "All in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, in t
name of the owner or owners thereof for constructing and completing=
sewers therein.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON., MISSOURI
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It appearing from the written report of the City
Engineer, the officer in charge of the work of construction and
completing sewers, in Sewer District No- 78110 in the City of

Jefferson, Missouri heretofore submitted by said officer to the
City Conricil field on this date that the total cost of construction
and completing of said sewer as constructed, amounts to the sum of
$487-50, and it further appearing that said report of said officer
did apportion said costs against the sevaral lots or pieces of

ground in said Sewer District No. 78 "A" exclusive of streets in
proportion to the area of the whole of said District No. 78 tIA"
exclusive of the public highways, and it further appearing that
the total number of square feet contained in the aggregate number
of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said Sewer District i,
No. 78 "A", exclusive of. the public highways therein amounts to
20,000.0 square feet. ' Arid it further appearing from the said !!
report that on proper apportionment of said costs such lots or
pieces of ground in said Sewer District Nov 78 "A" , so situated, Ii
each quare foot of ground contained in said lots or pieces of groun
in said Sewer District No. 78 "A" is chargeable with the sum of
$0.024375 per square foot. �I
Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of
construction and completion of sewers in said Sewer District No.
78 "A" together with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch basins,
manholes, and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, I
there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and herein- 1
after described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said
Sewer District No. 78 "A", situated in the name of the respective
name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, a
special tax at the rate of $0.024375 per square foot for each and
every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid.
Section 2. Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned
and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance, against which a
special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this ordinance is
levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and
the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of
the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed
and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or
piece in said Sewer. District No. 78 "A1l situated in the
name of he owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owne
by each property holder in the lots or pieces of ground owned by ea h
owner in said sewer District No. 78 "A" is as follows :

Section 3 . The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed
at once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, of the aforesaid amounts against said lots
of pieces of land in the aforesaid Sewer District No. 78 "All
situated, mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned
sections of this Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners
thereof, which said special and certified tax bills shall be signed
by the Mayor and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delive ed
to Alvin Brunner Construction Company, The Contractor of the work
of construction of the aforesaid sewers as provided and requited
by the Charter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances
authorizing and ordering the construction of sewers in said
Sewer District No. 78 "At?, heretofore passed and approved by the
Council
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force �!
