HomeMy Public PortalAboutGAC Minutes 1986 04/18 City of McCall Golf COurse Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes April 18, 1986 Present were Don Medley, Bill Mockwit~, Max Williamson, and Bob East. It was noted that Gaye West had not been notified of the meeting. The meeting started at 8:00 a.m. Max Williamson volunteered to serve as Chairman of the committee. Don Medley proposed that Williamson be made committee secretary. East and Mockwitz voted for Medley's proposal; Williamson voted no. Bob East proposed that Don Medley be committee Chairman. Mockwitz and Medley voted for East's proposal; Williamson voted no. After a discussion, East moved and Mcckwitz seconded a motion that the city rent a turf tractor, with an option to buy it this fall (if full rental cost applies to purchase price); if Brian Mickels is satisfied with the tractor this fall, then purchase it after committee review. The motion passed unanimously. After a discussion, Mockwitz moved and East seconded a motion that the committee table until next meeting action on purchase of a gang mower until committee members can review specific use of rough mowing requirements, and further, that course rough be eliminated to speed up play. The motion passed unanimously. After a discussion, Williamson moved and Mockwitz seconded a motion that the city put $40,000 each year toward a new club house, and further, that any profit (revenues in excess of expense) that exceed this $40,000 goal remain in the Golf Fund for this same purpose. The motion passed unanimously. After a discusion, Williamson moved and Mockwitz seconded a motion that Brian Mickels' maintenance crew be given single season golf passes this year (1986). The motion passed unanimously. The next meeting was set for 8:00 a.m. on l~uesday, April 29, 1986, at the Pancake House. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m. Secretary Chairman
