described as a public thoroughfare, now therefore:
Section 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of
j, the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient !�
to vacate and discontinue *as a public thoroughfare the following !
specifically described property:
A Twnety (20) Foot Alley on the worth side of Lot 1 of �I
Gordon and Menteer's Subdivision of Lots 39, 409 41 and- 42
of Owen's Subdivision of Outlots 55 and 56 of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 1 of said
Subdivision on the easterly line of Clark Avenue; thence
northerly along the easterly line of Clark Avenue 20.0
feet to the northerly line of . said alley; thence easterly
along and with the northerly line of said alley 252. 5 feet
to the westerly line of Benton Stre^t; thence southerly
along the westerly line of Benton Street 20.0 feet to the Ii
southerly line of said alley and the northeasterly corner !I
of Lot 1 of said Subdivision; thence westerly along the
northerly line of said lot 1 and the southerly line of said

alley 252. 5 feet to the point of beginning.

The owner of the property and land abutting on and adjacent
to the hereinhdfore specifically described land has petitioned
to the City Council to vacate and discontinue the hereinabove
slecifically described land as a public thoroughfare of the City,
and said land hereinabove specifically described is hereby va-
cated and forever discontinued as a public thoroughfare. 'I
The power and right of reversion to the hereinabove specifi a
described land which is now located and discontinued as a public i
Ij thoroughfare to the adjacent and abutting property owner as is pro
II vided by the Statutes and the haws of the State of Nissouri is
hereby fully confirmed and approved.
The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Jefferson are j
,1 hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all proper
and sufficient writings or instruments, for, on behalf of, and in
} the name of the City, to fully and completely transfer and es-
tablish to the adjacent and abutting propwvty owner his legal
rights in connection with the above mentioned vacation. !
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of ordinannes in conflict
! with this ordinance are hereby repelaed.
Section 3. this ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
