AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1304 OF ARTICLE XIII OF ORDINANCE
NUMBERED 5880, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY STRIKING, OUT
THE WORD "EIGHT" AND " UBSTITUTING THEREFOR THE WORD "TWELVE'", AND
STRIKING OUT THE WORDS AND FIGURES "ONE HUNDRED (100) " AND `l'HEN
SUBSTITUTING THE WORDS AND FIGURES "ONE HUNDRED F'OTTY (140) ".
I BE IT CRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
j AS FOLLOWS;

S ction 1. Section 1304 of Article XIII of Ordinance NuM - 'I
bered 5890, known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by
striking out the word "eight" and substituting therefor the +I
word "twelve" and by striking out the words and firgures " One
Hundred (100) " and substituting therefor the words and figures �
"One Hundred Forty (140)" so that the section 1304 of Ordinance
Numbered 5880 as amended, shall read as follows: -
"S-�jction 1304. Height regulations.. A building may be
erected to a height not exceeding twelve stories or one
hundred and forty (140) feet.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.

ISSUANCE OF SERIALLY NUMBERED TRAFFIC TICKETS IN TRIPLICATE BY
THE CITY CLERK TO THE CHIEF OF POLICEM THE ISSUANCE OF SAID I
TICKETS BY POLICEMEN WHEN A VIOLATION OCCURS, THE DUTY OF THE II

ASSESSED, THE COLLECTION OF FINES AND PENALTIES IN THE POLICE I

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 249 of Chapter III of the Revised i
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 1941, Ordinances Nwnber
4332, Ordinance number 5763 and Ordinance number 5771.0 relating
to the issuance of serially numbered traffic tickets in priplicate �I
by the City Clerk to the Chief of Police, the issuance of said II
tickets by policemen whena violation occurs, the duty of thr II)
Police Judge to mark said traffic tickets with the penalty assess-
ed, the collection of fines and penalties in the police Court, I�
the execution of a suitable form each day by the Chief of Police
or his reo- esentative listing the violations for which fines
have been collected and the amount of said fines, and providing
ii for the disposition of the collected monies from the Police Court,
be and the same are hereby repealed.

traffic ordinances. "uch forms shall be issued �o and receipted
foil by the Chief of Police or other person acting for him.
Section 3. ]Issuance bo ordinance violators. The policerreni;
and traffic policementm when an arrest is made for tho violation
of a city traffic ordinance, shall make an original and twr, ,14.0di
of each traffic ticket which sahll bear the same number. Onet:of ii
the copies, being the original ticket, shall be given to the I
violator or placed in a secure and visible place on his vehicle. it
One copy shall be given to the Police Judge at the earliest
opportunity. The last copy shall be revained by the Clerk of the
Police Department.
Section 4. Penalties to be noted on traffic tickets. Each ,
day the Police Judge shall enter on the three copies of all
traffic tickets issued by the policemen or on the two copies of all
arrest slips issued by policemen the amount of the fine and/or �f
the term bf imprisonment and/or the costs assessed against the {
violator.

Section 5. Collection of fines, costs, traffic tickets and '��II
arrest slips. Each day the Chief of Police, or the police officer
who attends the Police Court as the clerk of that court, shall
collect all fines and costs that may be adjudged against amy law �
violator, whether a formal complaint was executed or not, and the ,
costs, if any, assessed against the same, together with the three
copies of the traffic ticket or the two copies of the arrest Ilip
executed by the arvesting officer.
Section 6. Disposition of fines and costs collected. Each
day the Chief of Police, or the police dfficer-,who attends the
Police Court as the clerk of that court, shall list on a suit-
able form in detail the amount of fines collected, the date of
payment, the name of the individual making payment of said fine,
and the violation for which said fine was assessed: therupon the
monies collected in the Police Court shall be deposited daily in i
the city depository to the credit of the City Treasurer; a deposi
slip shall be received, and the officer snaking the deposit shall
turn over baid deposit slip, together with the then executed foss
containing the aforementioned data, along with two copies of the
traffic tickets and/or one copy of the arrest slip to the City
Clerk.
Section 7. Disposition of traffic tickets andarrest slips.
The Police Judge shall always retain one copy of every traffic
ticket issued and one copy of every arrest slip issued. When the `
City Clerk receives each day two copies of the traffic tickets f
issued and one copy of the arrest slip issued, he shall compare �I
the same to the form prepared by the Chief of Police or theClerk
of the Police Court each day, and then turn over one copy of the II
traffic ticket and the arrest slip to the Chief of Police or the ;;
Clerk of the Police Court, and keep on copy of each traffic
ticket for himself.

Section B. City Treasurer's duties. Each month the City
Treasurer shall obtain from the City Clerk all deposit slips
shoeing the amount of maney deposited by the Chief of Police or
his representative in the city depository each day for the credit
of the city. He shall check said deposit slips against the amounts
deposited and shall also check the master form prepared by the
Clerk of the Police Count and deposited with the City Clerk each l
day to determine what part of the monies deposited belomg to the
vgirous funds in the City Treasury. '-'he City Treasurer shall give'
his receipt to the City Clerk for the bank depost slips. �.
Section 9. Traffic tickets and arrest slips to be accounted
for. Each traffic ticket and arrest slip shall be accounted for
