Section 10. Reports. The City Council may require the
Chief of Police, City Clerk and the City Treasurer to make monthly I�

arrest slips issued, action tal{en on the same , the amount of fines
and costs collected, and the disposition of monies collected into Ii
the various funds of the city treasury.
Section 11. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval. (�

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF ALL MONIES COLLEC-
TED BY ALL MEMBERS CF THE INSPECTION DE 'ARTMENT OF THE CITY OF

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CL'.RK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, '!ISSOURI,I
AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Disposition of monies collected by members of the
inspection delartment. All monies collected by any member of the l
inspection department shall be turned over to the 9hief Inspector it
daily as received. The Chief Inspector shall deposit said monies
, immediately daily as received in the city depository to the credit
of the City Treasurer and receive a deposit slip therefor.

Inspector and all of the deputy inspectors in the inspection de-
partment each month shall make an itimized list on a suitable
form of all fees collected by them for the issuance of permits I
or for inspections made. The deputy inspectors shall turn their i
itemized lists over to the Chief Inspector. I�
Section 3. Duties of Chief Inspector. Upon receipt of the
jitimized lists of each deputy inspector each month, the hief
( Inspector shalltake the same, along with his own monthly itimized
Ilist as Building Commissioner, together with the daily deposit
slips which he has received for monies deposited in the city
depository, and turn thesame over to the City Clerk.
I Section 4. Duties of City Clerk. The City clerk shall have

(department available for study by the City Treasurer and shall

(from the Chief Inspector over to the city treasurer upon his demand. '
� lj! Section 5. Duties of City Treasurer. Each month the City
( Treasurer shall make a demand on the city Clerk for all deposit
slips held by said Clerk on behalf of the Chief Inspector and
+he other members of the inspection department. the Treasurer {
shall check the total of said deposit slips against the amounts {�
shown on the itemized monthly reports of each member of the
inspection department, and teen issue his receipt to each member
of the inspection department for the monies collected by them. I'
Section 6. IteTized statements and deposit slips may be
destroyed then. The ity Clerk sh-11 destroy all itemized state-
ments received each month from the members of the inspection de-
,partment after a period of five years from their receipt. The City
iTreasurer shall destroy all deposit slips received from the City i
Clerk on behalf of the inspection department after a period of �
five years from their receipt.
Section T. All ordinances od parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed. '
