AN ORDINANCE imoviding for the improvement of Linden Drive, be-
tween the curb line from the cantor of the intersection of Linden '_[vn
Drive and Pamela Street to the center of the intersection of Linde
Drive and Laurel Drive in the City of Jeffernonm Missouri., by
grading, curbing and guttering and naving with penetration bit=i-I
nious macadam.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, It was heretofore found and declared by the
City Council., by Its resolution, passed anntpproved on May 7�hq
1956, necessary to curb and gutter and pave with penetration bi-
tuminnous macadam, the roadway of Linden Drive, between the curlb
lines from the center of the intersection of Linden Drive and
Pamela Street to the center of the intersection of Linden Drive
and Laurel Drive. And it appearing to the City Council that said
resolution has been duly published according to the law for seven
(7) consecutive- insertions in the Jefferson City Post-Tribune., a
daily newbppper, printed and published In the City of Jefferson.,
Missouri.,9. nd after hearing those who desiredto be heard on the
matter concerning the paving of said street and after finding
that said Linden Drive, between the curb line from the center of
the intersection of Linden Drive and Pamela Street to the center
of the intersection of Linden Drive and Laurel Drive, is less
than 1200 feet in length and is between and connecting two paved
streets, the City Counnil of Jefferson Citu, Missouri., still
finds the improvement necessary to be dans.
SECTION 2. That the said roadway of Linden Drive, between the curb
lines Ofon the center of the intersection of Linden Drive and Pam-,
ela Street to the center of the intersection of Linden Drive and
Laurel Drive., be graded, curbed and guttered with cement concrete
and paved with penetration bituminious macadam in accordance
with the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer
and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total
cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a
special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting o
said contemplated improvement and special tax bills shall be issue
therefor as provided in Section 772 of the R LA vised Ordinances of t , e
City of Jefferson, Missouri, for 1941., and the Revised Statutes of t
the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto, That the cos
of the curb and gutter shall be assessed only against the property
in front of which the same is constructed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinanne shall take effect and be in force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
