AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIM FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF M, VER LANE IN THE
BLOCK JiRCM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF VMwDM LANE AND MILLER STREET TO
TfM CEIM OF THE INTERSECTION OF VETTER LANE AND A POINT 198 FEET 9 INCHES SOUTI
OF THE SOUTH LINE OF MILLER STREET IN THE CITY OF JP SON, MISSOURI, BY PAVING
WITH PF;NETRATION BITUMINOUS MACADAM
BE IT aWAIM, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JE -TFSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and declared by the City
Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on June 4th, 1956 necessary to
page with Penetration Bituminous Macadam the roadway of Vetter Lune in the block
from the center of the intersection of Vetter Lane and Miller Street to the
center of the intersection of Vetter Lane and a point 198 feet 9 inches south of
the south line of Miller Street and it appearing to the City Council that said
resolution has been duly published according to the law for:mnore than seven (7)
consecutive insertions, in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed and
published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a majority of the resident
owners of property along said section of Vetter Lane liable for the costs of
said improvement, and who own a majority of the front feet on said Vetter Lane
intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk a protest against
said contemplated improvement.
Section 2. That the said road of Vetter Lane, from the south line of
Miller Street south 198 feet 9 inches in accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations submitted by the City Engineer and filed in the office of the City
Clerk, and that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged and levied
as a special assessment against the real estate abutting and fronting on said
contemplated improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefor, as
provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 764, 765, 766, and 767 of Chapter
13, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, 1941, and of
the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to advertise for
bids for this improvement.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force frcm and
after its passage and approval.

TRACKS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF MARILYN' STREET, ZIOM
WADOW LANE TO OAXVIEW DRIVE IN TILE CITY OFJE"'ERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IM-
PROV== OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY PAVING WITH ASPHALT MACADAM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby Levied and assessed at the rate and cost
price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this ordinance against the

11 aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of
Marilyn Street, from Meadow Lane to Oakview Drive in the City of Jefferson, f+
Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway Marilyn Street: aforesaid, in-
eluding such grading as may be necessary for the reception of a cement
a sidewalk, the sum of $3,405.15 as the total costs of the inTromment of said
street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said .roadway of
said Marilyn Street aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 1621.5 it
li running feet; the cost price per running foot is $2.10. II
Section 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said roadway �
of Nnrilyn Street, from Meadow Lane to Oakvi.ew Drive there is hereby levied
and assessed the sum of $2.10 as a special tax against each front foot of
ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Marilyn Street between the afore-
said streets, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting
said improved roadway of said Marilyn Street, from Meadow Lane to Oekview
Drive.
