AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE 1MPROVFMENT OF LINDEN DRIVE, MWI;F;N THE CURB �I
LINES FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF LINDM DRIVE AND DART,= STREET TO
THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF LINDEN DRIVE AND LAUREL DRIVE IN THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY GRADING, CURBING AND GUTTERING AND PAVING WITH PENETRA-
TION BITUMINOUS MACADAM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Whereas, it was heretofore found and. declared by the City
Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on May 7th, 1956, necessary to
curb and gutter and pave with penetration bituminous macadam, the roadway of
Linden Drive, between the curb lines from the center of the intersection of !
Linden Drive and Darlene Street to the center of -the intersection of Linden
Drive and Laurel Drive. And it appearing to the City Council that said resolu-
tion has been duly published according to the law for seven (7) consecutive
insertions in the Jefferson City Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper., printed and
published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri. And &Eter herring those who desire
to be heard on the matter concerning the paving of said street and after finding �I
that said Linden Drive, between the curb lines from the center of the intersec-
tion of Linden Drive and Darlene Street to the center of the intersection of
Linden Drive and Laurel Drive, is less than 1200 feet in length and is between a
connecting two paved streets., the City Council of Jefferson City, Missouri, sti
finds the improvement necessary to be done.
Section 2. That the said roadway of Linden Drive, between the curb line!
from the center of the intersection of Linden Drive- and Darlene Street to the
center of the intersection of Linden Drive and Laurel Drive be graded, curbed
and guttered with cement concrete and paved with penetration bituminous macadam
in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the City Engineer
and filed in the office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the work
aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special. assessment against the real
estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated 13Wrovement and special tar:
bills shall be issued therefor as provided in Section 772 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for 1941., and the Revised Statutes of
the State of Missouri, 1949, and amendments thereto. That the cost of the curb
and gutter shall be assessed only against the property in front of which the
same is constructed.
Section . This ordinance shall take effect fe et and be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval. !�
