Whereas, a petition has been presented to the City Council of the
City of Jefferson, Missouuri, requesting, the City Council to change and modify
the zoning map of the City of Jefferson au incorporated into ordinance number !�
5880 by rezoning said hereinafter cieiacribcd property from its present classifi-
cation as a District "C" Mult:kplc Dwelling to a District "G" Courercial, and !j

Whereas, the City Council has referred the petition to the Planning �
and 'Zoning Commission. as prescribed by Ordinance 5880, and
i
Whereas, the Planning and Zoning Conmission has reccemiended that the
petition be approved and tba.t the property hereinafter described be rezoned
from a District "C" to a District "G", and
I Whereas, all interested parties have been notified that the City
1! Council of the City of Jefferson would hold a public hearing on the question
of whether or not the said land should be rezoned, said notice appearing by
; publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Jefferson
more than fifteen days prior to said hearing, and

Iiinterested parties an opport-cadty to be heard, upon the issv.e, now therefore:

1. Hereafter the following described real estate, lying within the i
City of Jefferson, Missouri, shall be classified as a District "G" Conunercial �
zone instead of a District "C" Multiple Dwelling Zone, and the zoning map
of the City of Jefferson,, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880 is hereby
ordered to be modified and changed so as to reflect said rezoning with refer-
ence to the following described real estate:
"A part of Qutlots 40 and 41 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
more articular described as:

Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Ash Street and McCarty
Street; thence northerly along and with the easterly line of Ash Street,
250.0 feet; thence easterly parallel with McCarty Street, 180.0 feet;
thence southerly parallel with Ash Street, 50.0 feet; thence easterly parallel
with McCarty Street, 325.0 feet; thence northerly parallel with Locust Street,
150.0 feet; thence easterly parallel with McCarty Street, 150.0 feet to the
i� westerly line of Locust Street; thence southerly with the westerly line of
�! Locust Street, 350.0 feet to the northerly line of McCarty Street; thence
westerly along and with the northerly line of McCarty Street, 655.0 feet

it 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
3. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its
ii passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTABLISHING THE RATE
OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF JE17TERSON, MISSOURI., FOR THE YEAR 1956.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP JMT-ERSON, MISSOURI., AS
FOLLOWS:

Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate
on all real estate and personal property within the limits of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the constitution or the laws
of the State of Missouri, as shovm by the assessment book of the City of
�i Jefferson, Missouri, far, the year 1956, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers
Ij statements, made as provided by law.
FIRST- For the purpose of pay-ing all current expenses of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, for the fiscal year, the sum- of .75 cents on the one
