Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
make out special tax bills in favor of the contractor Hunter Bro-
ther's Construction Company for the within mentioned work in accor-
dance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, rely- 1
tive to said kind of work and in accordance with the charter of said
City in regard to said work.
Section 5 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in

AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE
I� LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF VETTE
LANE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF MILLER STREET SOUTH 198 FEET 9 INCHES
IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SAID
ROADWAY BY GRADING AND PAVING WITH ASPHALT MACADAM.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the
rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of
this ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land front-
ing or abutting on the roadway of Vetter Lane from the south line
i� of Miller Street south 198 feet 9 inches in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway Vetter Lane aforesaid,
including such grading as may be necessary for the reception of a
cement sidewalk, the stuff of $1660 .00 as the total costs of the im-
provement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or
abutting said roadway of said Vetter Lane aforesaid, between the
aforesaid streets amount to 396.75 running feet; the cost price per
running foot is $4.184

Section 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of
!! said roadway of Vetter. Lane from the south line of Miller Street
south 198 feet 9 inches there is hereby levied and assessed the suml
` of $4.184 as a special tax. against each front foot of ground front
ing or abutting said roadway of Vetter Lane between the aforesaid
streets, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or
abutting said improved roadway of said Vetter Lane, from the south
line of Miller Street south 198 feet 9 inches .
LORA E. HERNDON & MARION HERNDON, owners of a part of Outlot No. 64
fronting 138 feet on Vetter Lane and running back westerly 64 feet. i�
The north line coinciding with the south line of Miller Street.
Assessment 138.0 feet n $4.184 Cost $577 .39
FANNIE HOSKINS, owner of a, part of Outlot 64, fronting 50 feet on
Vetter Lane and running back westerly 142 feet. The north line ly-
ing 138 feet south of and parallel to the south line of Miller
Street.
