hour, be and the same is hereby repealed.

AN ORDINANCE CHANGING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI., AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880,
WITH REFERENCE TO CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND, BY REZONING
SAID LAND FROM A DISTRICT 17B11 AND "C" FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO A
DISTRICT "E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
Whereas, a petition was filed with the City Council request-
ing the rezoning of a tract of land containing about 9 .7 acres and
lying between Highway 50 & 63 East (McCarty Street) and Miller
Street and between Benton Street and Gordon Street, and
Whereas, the City Council referred the petition to the Plan-
ning and Zoning Commission for its consideration and recommendation
and
Whereas, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a hearing a -
which time said petition was considered and interested parties
heard, and
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to the
City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that a specifi-
cally described area within the city of Jefferson, Missouri, be re-
zoned, and
Whereas, all interested parties have been notified that the
City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, would hold a publi
hearing on the question of the rezoning of the area recommended to
be rezoned by the Planning and Zoning Commission by the publication
of notice in a newspaper of general circulation within this .city
more than fifteen days prior to said hearing, and
Whereas, the City Council has conducted such a hearing on th .
date prescribed in said newspaper publication and has given all
parties an opportunity to be heard upon the question, now therefore :
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOUtI,,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Hereafter the following described land shall be
classified as a District "E" local Commercial District instead of
a District "BY and a District "C" Residential District, and the
zoning map of the city, as incorporated into ordinance number 5880,
is hereby ordered amended with reference to the following specifi-
cally described land:
"All that part of Outlot No. 61 in the City of
Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, that lies
south of Highways 50 & 63 (East McCarty Street) ."
