AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND DEFINING THE LIMITS OF SCHOOL ZONES
WITHIN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE THORPE GORDON
AND MOREAU HEIGITrS SCHOOL, AND SOUTHWEST SCHOOL.
BE IT ORDA114ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. School Zones Established. Hereafter the
following named streets between the designated intersections or
boundaries shall be deemed school zones :
A. Thorpe Gordan School. Jackson Street from its
intersection with Russell Street to its inter-
section with Hickory Street.
B. Moreau Heights School , Moreau Drive from its
intersection with Moreland Avenue to its inter-
section with Hough Park and Greenberry Road.
Hough Park Road from its
intersection with Moreau Drive and Greenberry
Road to its intersection with Dixon Drive.
Greenberry Road from its
intersection with Moreau Drive and Hough Park
Road southeasterly for a distance of six hundred
(600) feet on and along Greenberry Road.
C. Southwest School. Highway 54 & 63 for a distance
of three hundred (300) feet on each side of
Bolivar Street.
Section 2, This ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, TO APPOINT 2 WATCHMEN TO OPERATE TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT
SCHOOL CROSSWALKS AND CONTROL MANUAL STOP SIGNS WITHIN SCHOOL
CROSSWALKS, AND PROVIDING THAT SAID WATCHMEN SHALL WORK BETWEEN
THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. AND 9 :00 A.M. IN THE MORNING AND BETWEEN
THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M. AND 4 :00 P.M. IN THE AFTERNOON, MONDAY
THROUGH FRIDNY INCLUSIVE, AND FURTHER PROVIDING THAT THE MAYOR,
OR HIS DESIGNEE, SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO DETERMINE THE DUTIES OF
SAID WATCHMEN AND THE LOCATION OF THE AREAS WITHIN WHICH THEY WILL
iPERFORM THEIR DUTIES, AND PROVIDING THAT SAID WATCHMEN SHALL BE
i PAID THE COMPENSATION OF $1.50 PER HOLTR FOR TWO HOURS WORK PER DAY
!! FOR EACH FIVE DAY WEEK.
