Whereas , the Planning and Zoning Commission held a hearing i
I' at which time said petition was considered and interested parties
heard., and `
Whereas , the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to
the City Council that a specifically described area within the City
j of Jefferson, Missouri, be rezoned, and
II
Whereas , all interested parties have been notified by the
';j publication of a notice in the newspaper of general circulation
�f within the city more than fifteen days prior to a hearing that a
public hearing would be had on the question of the rezoning of the
i area recommended to be rezoned by the Planning & Zoning Commission,
and
Whereasthe City Council has conducted such a hearing and
fi given all interested parties an opportunity to be heard upon the
j question, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Hereafter the following described land shall be
classified as a District "E" Local. Commercial District instead of
a District "D" Multiple Dwelling District, and the Zoning Map of
the City, as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, is now order-
ed amended with reference to the following described land:
"East one half of Inlot 356 and all of Inlots
3572 3582 3639 3642 3653, 366, 3712 382, 373
and 374 in the City of Jefferson, County of
Cole, Missouri."
This land is bounded by Capitol Avenue on the
north; the public alley lying south of Capitol
Avenue on the south; the west line of Lafayette
Street on the east; and a line running north-
south lying midway between Adam; Street and
Jackson Street on the west.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
from and after its passage and approval.

AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 1956.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money
in the City Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the following:
REVENUE FUND
