Mayor. 1 #6333 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, 3.0 FEET BACK FROM FACE OF CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SWIFT'S HIGHWAY BETWEEN PAMELA AND MYRTLE STREETS, AND ABUTTING 171 FEET ON SWIFT'S HIGHWAY OWNED BY FRANK R. & LOUISE S . ANDERSON BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four feet in width, 3.0 feet back from ,face of curb, on the north side of Swift' s Highway, between Pamela and Myrtle Streets, and abutting 171 feet on Swift' s Highway, owned by Frank R. & Louise S. Anderson be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of the property hereinabove described. ` Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it with some member of his famil over the age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the City 1 Clerk. Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter and ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a speci 1 tax bill against said property for the cost of the constructionof said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
