AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF CEMENT
CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, 6 INCHES BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SWIFT` S HIGHWAY BETWEEN JEFFERSON AND
BROADWAY STREETS, AND ABUTTING 36 FEET 9 INCHES ON SWIFT'S HIGHWAY
OWNED BY DORA MITCHELL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
four feet in width, 6 inches back from face of curb, on the north
side of Swift's Highway street, between Jefferson and Broadway
Streets, and abutting 36 feet 9 inches on Swift' s Highway, owned by
Dora Mitchell be constructed and built within thirty days from the
service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of the property
hereinabove described.
Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall plane in the hands of the City Mar-
shal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal shall
serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the owner or
owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or
owners br by leaving it with some member of his family over the age
of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said ordinance,
which copy shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named
fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter an
ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special
tax bill against said.property for the cost of the construction of
said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against
the property above described.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, I

abutting 250 feet in front of lots 16 to 20 incl . City View Terrace
owned by Doris M. Walt be constructed and built within thirty days
