A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THF: CITY OF :.RICHLAND HILLS
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A JUVENILE LAW
ENFORCEMENT UNIT.
WHEREAS, the current manpower and equipment are inadequate in identifying
and apprehending juvenile offenders, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richland Hills does not have sufficient financial
resources to provide it's law enforcement agency with this manpower and
equipment, and
WHEREAS, the additional manpower and equipment will allow the City of
Richland Hills Law Enforcement Agency to increase it's capability in the
basic function of law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the best interest of
the City of Richland Hills will be served by participating in the cooperative
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS,
1. The City of Richland Hills desires to participate in the development
of a Juvenile Law Enforcement Unit.
2. This City understands that the Texas Criminal Justice Division is
providing 20% funding for the fifth year of this program.
3. This City further understands that this is the final-year for this
program.
4. This City understands that at the end of this final year all future
funding for this program will be assumed by the City.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this day of 1983, at a regular
meeting of the City Council o the City of Rich and Hills.
