Section 2 . Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City (I
Marshal. a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal
shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the j
owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to
said owner or owners or by Leaving it with some member of his famil
over the age of 15 years , making his return on another copy of said'
liordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the City
Clerk.
Section 3 . In the event the owner or owners above named
it fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter
�i and ordinances , will construct said sidewalk and will issue a
special tax bill against said property for the cost of the construe
tion of said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien
I� against the property above described.

Section 4 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval .

CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR F'E'ET IN WIDTH, 6 INCHES BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SWIFT'S HIGH'JAY STREET BETWEEN JEFFERSON
(I AND BROADWAY STREETS,, AND ABUTTING 110 FEET IN FRONT OF LOTS 14 &
15 CITY VIEW TERRACE OWNED BY WILLARD J. STOCKMAN.

1 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
four feet in width, 6 inches back from face of curb, on the north
side of Swift' s Highway between Jefferson and Broadway Streets ,
and abutting 110 feet in front of lots 14. & 15 City View Terrace
owned by Willard J. Stockman be constructed and built within thirty
days from the service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of
the property hereinabove described.
