Section 2 , Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City
Marshal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal �
shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the
owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to
said owner or owners or by leaving, it with some member of his
family over the age of 3.5 yca.rs , making his return on another copy !I
of said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the �
;I City Clerk.
Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above
!; named fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the
�
ICity of Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its
' charter and ordinances , will construct said sidewalk and will issue
i a special tax bill. against said property for the cost of the
( construction of said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be
i
a lien against the property above described.

Section 4 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, 3.5 FEET BACK FROM FACE OF
( CURB, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SWIFT' S HIGHWAY, BETWEEN CARTER AND
! MYRTLE STREETS, AND ABUTTING 141 FEET ON SWIFT'S HIGHWAY OWNED BY
IIJOHN R. KRATOCHVIL AND THELMA LOUISE KRATOCHVIL. I
CBE. IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS : i
�iSection l. . That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
four feet in width, 3.5 feet back from face of curb, on the south
side of Swift' s Highway, between Carter and Myrtle Streets , and
, abutting 141 feet on Swift' s Highway, owned by John R. Kratochvil
land Thelma Louise Kratochvil be constructed and built within thirty
(! days from the service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of
lithe property hereinabove described.
