Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Mar- '�
shal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal ii
shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the
owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to r
said ownexlor owners or by leaving it with some member of his family ,,
over the age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of i
said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the Cityf
Clerk. �I

Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named
,' fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its charter
;! and ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a spec-
ial tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction
'iof said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien agains
'j the property above described.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
J( force from and after its Massage and approval.

: CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, 3.5 FEET BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SWIFT'S HIGHWAY, BETWEEN JEFFERSON AND
'1 CARTER STREETS, AND ABUTTING 96 FEET 11 INCHES ON SWIFT'S HIGHWAY

iBE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:

! Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
�Ifour feet in width, 3.5 feet back from face of curb, on the south
ii side of Swift' s highway, between Jefferson and Carter Streets,. and I
(i abutting 96 feet 13. inches on Swift' s Highway, owned by Milo H. Wal !
11be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a
copy of this ordinance on the owner of the property hereinabove
described. .
