SAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF CEMENT;'
CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, 3.5 FEET BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SWIF'T'S HIGH6IAY, BETWEEN JEFFERSON AND
CARTER STREETS, AND ABUTTING 75 FEET ON SWIFT"S HIGHWAY OWNED BY i
W. E. SOMMERER AND LORRAINE MAE SOMMERER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
four feet in width, 3.5 feet back from face of curb, on the south
side of Swift's Highway Streets , between Jefferson and Carter
Streets, and abutting 75 feet on Swift' s Highway, owned by W. E.
Sommerer and Lorraine Mae Sommerer be constructed and built within
thirty days from the service of a copy of this ordinance on the
owner of the property hereinabove described.
Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this
ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Mar- '
shal a certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal shah
serve or cause to be served a copy of this ordinance on the owner o
owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said owner o
owners or by leaving . it with some member of his .family over the age
of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said ordinance,
which copy shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named
fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, tinder the power and authority given it by its charter an
ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special
tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction of
said sidewalk, which said special. tax bill will be a lien against
the property above described.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

CURB, ON THE 14EST SIDE. OF BROADWAY STREET, BETWEEN ATCHISON AND
AFFOLTER STREETS, AND ABUTTING 55 FEET ON BROADWAY IN OUTLOT NO. 1
OWNED BY GEORGE CLARK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: I
Section 1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,
four feet in width, 2.0 feet back from face of curb, on the west
side of Broadway Streets, between Atchison Street and Affolter
Streets, and abutting 55 feet on Broadway in Outlot No. 1, owned by
George Clark be constructed and built within thirty days from the
service of a copy of this ordinance on the owner of the property
hereinabove described.
